10/7: Nola - pics

Today we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Then we walked down to the Mississippi river. We stopped at Jackson park and sat in the shade. I found a fluer de lis (symbol of New Orleans) pin for my Foxwood hat at a shop named Razzle Dazzle. Wandered around the French market area and then ate a lunch at JAX brewery. I had a gumbo and Margi had a lump crab fondue. We also had fried green tomatoes and frog legs. We walked back for a short rest in our hotel room and then we were off to dinner. We ate at a famous chef Paul Prudhomme's Kitchen. Margi had a delicious salmon with lump crab dish. I had a small cup of turtle soup that I couldn't finish.
